1) GOVERNING BODIES

Coordinator of ESSHRA:

The project coordinator is responsible for:

  • Steering the progress and quality of the activities undertaken,

  • Administration of the project budget,

  • Ensuring that project activities are executed in line with the project time-table,

  • Monitoring all of the conferences that will be organised throughout the project,

  • Communicating key project partners the progress of the project,

  • Organising Steering Committee Meetings with key project partners,

  • Chairing the Steering Committee meetings,

  • Carrying out reporting and administrative activities,

  • Liaising with the Scientific Officer from the Commission.

 

Key project partners - Project Steering Committee

Key project partners will collaborate with the project coordinator in steering the progress of the project. Key project partners will monitor whether project milestones are achieved and project deliverables are prepared as planned. Key project partners will constitute the project Steering Committee for management purposes and will come together through Steering Committee Meetings. Project key partners will also meet at the country conferences, since they will all participate and monitor the country conferences.

 

Key project partners are responsible for:

 

  • Monitoring the progress of the project in line with the project time schedule and budget,

  • Participating in Steering Committee Meetings and taking strategic decisions during the progress of the project,

  • Fulfilling the activities and duties stated in the project layout,

  • Carrying out Work Package Leadership tasks and duties.

Conference organisation committees

 

Key partners from Turkey, Malta, Bulgaria, and Switzerland will all work actively for the organisation of the dissemination conferences and preparation of conference proceedings. Three project key partners from these countries will be the Work Package Leaders responsible for the organisation of the conferences. Project coordinator will ensure that Work Package Leaders carry out the tasks for the organisation of conferences in line with the project work-plan.

 

Three Conference Organisation Committees will be established for designing the detailed plans of the conferences. Each committee will consist of the relevant Work Package Leader, a European Commission representative, who is in direct communication with FP project coordinators and is familiar with the projects’ content, and SSH scientific experts studying the particular research topic. The EC representative and the scientific experts will provide consultancy to the Work Package Leader in identification of national researchers that will be invited as speakers to the conferences. Furthermore, the organising committee will be responsible for reviewing previous FP projects, identifying the projects that will be disseminated in the conference and inviting selected project coordinators to the conference.

 

In particular, responsibilities of the Conference Organisation Committees can be summarised as below:

  • Reviewing previous FP projects to identify the projects that will be disseminated throughout this project via conferences,

  • Identifying national researchers that will be invited to the conference to present national research results and perspectives,

  • Making necessary arrangements for the conference (communicating with speakers, organisation of the conference saloon and necessary equipments),

  • Monitoring the conference and conference workshops,

  • Preparing and editing the conference proceedings.

Work package one and two will continue for the whole duration of the project. Work package three will start at the beginning of the project. Since work package four refers to the Istanbul conference, it will be followed by Sofia conference and Malta & Swiss conference, work package five and six respectively. Work package seven will start when the project conferences are completed.
