Nikolov participate in the discussion "Focus on the Caucasus" in the European Parliament (EP) in Brussels held on the initiative of Mr. Kristian Vigenin, MEP and deputy-chairman of the group of the Party of European Socialists (PES). Michael Emerson from the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, Georgi Gotev, spokesman of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, and Atanas Paparizov, MEP/PES, also take part in the forum. The book of Prof. Dulgerova "Borders in the Caucasus" is presented during the discussion. The event is held on the day when the Foreign Affairs Committee of the EP adopts two reports - on Black Sea Synergy and on the South Caucasus.

The International Conference "Regional Cooperation in the Black Sea and Danube Regions: Addressing Challenges and Providing Perspectives" is organised at the Boyana residence in Sofia by the National Assembly and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and the South Eastern Europe Association - Munich, Germany. BECSA, the Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS) - Sofia, and the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute are partners of the event.
